My annual “Best of Cannock Chase” competition calls on residents to vote for their favourite local independent businesses. As ever, hundreds of businesses battled it out to be crowned the public’s favourite independent retailer in Cannock Chase.
After another exceptionally hard year for businesses, the competition has provided an opportunity for residents to show their appreciation for our fantastic local small businesses.
The competition highlights standout businesses over several categories, including the best local shops, best market stalls and best cafés/restaurants. There is also an overall winner for the retailer gaining the most votes in any category.
After many hours of counting up the votes, I am delighted to announce that the overall winner is Chocolate Treasures in Heath Hayes.
I was delighted to be able to visit Chocolate Treasures to present the winning certificate to Dan and his wonderful team.
It was brilliant to hear how Chocolate Treasures has grown its customer base all over the world – from Heath Hayes, to America and Australia. I even got the chance to try their signature hot chocolate which was delicious. I can certainly see why the business is so popular with local residents.
I would like to congratulate all our winners across the competition. As always, the competition was hotly contested with thousands of votes cast.
It was a real honour to meet so many wonderful local business owners who have worked so hard this year to keep their businesses going and to serve our local community.
