Amanda Milling MP is calling on pub-goers in Cannock Chase to nominate their favourite constituency pub for the Parliamentary Pub of the Year Awards.
The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Pubs have Launched this year's Parliamentary Pub of the Year Awards, aimed at celebrating pubs in the community. The competition gives 650 MPs the opportunity to nominate a pub to be recognised as the Parliamentary Pub of the Year.
The main criteria for nomination is a pub that is great at what they do, this can include the range of beer or food provided, the dedication to serving the local community or a specialism in music or sports.
Before selecting the representative for Cannock Chase, Amanda Milling MP is asking pub-goers to nominate their favourite local. Whichever pub receives the most nominations will go on to the national competition as Cannock Chase’s best local pub.
Pubs can be nominated by emailing Amanda on [email protected]. Last year's local nomination was The Rusty Barrel in Rugeley.
Amanda Milling MP said: “I am asking local people to nominate their favourite pub and the most popular choice will go forward as our Cannock Chase entrant to the Parliamentary Pub of the Year Awards. Local pub goers have until 5pm Friday 27th September to nominate their favourite pub.”
The winning pub chosen to represent Cannock Chase will need to submit a video to the judges to get to the national final.
