Amanda Milling, Member of Parliament for Cannock Chase, is calling on the final votes to be cast in her competition to crown Cannock Chase’s most popular independent businesses.
The annual competition is part of the Cannock Chase MP’s campaign to support local town centre businesses and this year’s competition is becoming more heated, with a number of new business being nominated for the first time.
Residents can vote for their favourite shops, market stalls and cafés/restaurants in each of Cannock, Hednesford and Rugeley until 26th November. There are eight categories and the businesses with the most votes in each will be crowned the winner. There is also an overall award for the business that has received the most votes in any category.
The winners will be announced on Small Business Saturday which takes place on 1st December 2018. Small Business Saturday UK is a not-for-profit campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages the UK to support small businesses.
Amanda said: "The competition has become more popular than ever before with new businesses being nominated. I am urging residents to make sure they vote for their favourite shops, market stalls and cafés across Cannock Chase before the deadline of 26th November. I am looking forward to crowning the winners as part of this year’s Small Business Saturday which is on the 1st December.”
Anyone wanting to vote for their favourite shop, market stall or café/restaurant can do so at www.bestchasebusiness.co.uk. Businesses can also download voting forms and posters to display to their customers.
