Amanda Milling, Member of Parliament for Cannock Chase, has announced the winner of her competition to choose the best pub in Cannock Chase.
The winner, chosen by the public, has been entered into the Parliamentary Pub of the Year competition representing Cannock Chase. It will go up against pubs from across the country.
The Parliamentary Pub of the Year competition seeks to find the best pubs in the UK. Micro-pub The Rusty Barrel, in Rugeley, has been chosen by the public to represent Cannock Chase.
Amanda Milling MP said: “Congratulations to Darren Porter who owns and runs the Rusty Barrel. He has created a fantastic a micro-pub and thoroughly deserves the chance to fly the flag for Cannock Chase. If you have not visited the Rusty Barrel I would encourage you to do so. Having won the competition to be our entry, The Rusty Barrel certainly has the endorsement of local ale lovers!”
