Resource management company Veolia, who operate in Cannock, recently hosted their National Apprentice of the Year awards at the House of Commons. The company, which employs over 300 apprentices, saw two apprentices, Jessica Ellis and Alex Beech, from their regional office in Cannock amongst the finalists of their national awards.
The Cannock Chase MP joined the two apprentices at the awards ceremony at the House of Commons and praised them on their success.
Amanda said: “I would like to congratulate both Jessica and Alex on their awards. It is fantastic that two apprentices from Veolia's office in Cannock were amongst the handful of national finalists. I was hugely impressed by both Jessica and Alex who showed real passion and energy for their job and I hope that they continue to succeed with their apprenticeships. It is great that Veolia have taken on so many apprentices and can see the value and benefit they bring to their business.”
Estelle Brachlianoff, Senior Executive Vice-President of Veolia UK & Ireland, added: “I believe apprenticeships hold the key to success of industry across the UK. We want to help provide the training needed to close the skills gap and deliver the homegrown talent that our industry demands.“
