Amanda Milling, MP for Cannock Chase, met with local McDonald’s franchisee Doug Wright and his team at the Rugeley restaurant on 23rd September to find out more about the local business and discuss the investment his team’s within the local community.
During her visit, Amanda was given an insight into how the restaurant operates locally and discussed the community initiatives McDonald’s supports in the area including grassroots football.
Amanda Milling MP said: “I was delighted to visit the McDonald’s at Rugeley and meet the franchisee, Doug Wright. I was very impressed with the McDonald’s business model and the positive contribution this restaurant makes to Rugeley’s local community and economy.”
Local franchisee Doug Wright started his career with McDonald’s over 21 years ago and now runs fifteen restaurants across the West Midlands, employing over 1,400 people in the local area.
McDonald’s franchisee, Doug Wright added: “My team and I were thrilled to have had the opportunity to welcome Amanda to the restaurant and for her to see how hard we work to ensure that we provide the best possible service every day to our customers.”
