Amanda Milling, Member of Parliament for Cannock Chase, is calling on businesses in and around Cannock Chase to attend her export event and hear how they can get into exporting.
To help local businesses learn about exporting the Cannock Chase MP is hosting a free event in conjunction with UK Trade & Investment and the Chase Chamber of Commerce. This event will help businesses find out what practical help is available from the UK Trade & Industry team and what global opportunities exists.
Selling in the UK is just the beginning for thousands of British companies who are winning orders from across the globe. Businesses that export are more productive, more innovative and less likely to go out of business.
In a speech in Parliament Amanda Milling spoke about exporting and raised the expertise of local company ATP Industries Group Ltd. ATP are a Cannock Wood based business that remanufacture automotive parts. Its clients include Ford, Land Rover and Volvo – to name a few. Exports make up two thirds of its business, and it is exporting to around 35 countries. During the past year alone its international trade has increased by more than 57%, making up two thirds of its income.
Amanda Milling said, “Exporting is a huge untapped potential for businesses. ATP have made such a success of exporting that the RT Hon Anna Soubry MP, The Minister of State at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills has accepted my invitation to visit the business and see for herself how successful exporting has made them. I believe we have many more businesses here that can become export successes like ATP. I would encourage any business curious about exporting to sign up for this free event.”
The free event takes place on Friday 22nd January 2016 between 8.30am 1pm. The venue is the Premier Suite, Danilo Road, Cannock, WS11 1BJ. Breakfast is also included for delegates.
Amanda Milling added, “This is a great opportunity to find out how to develop an export strategy, discover how UK Trade & Investment’s services can boost your business, boost your knowledge of language and culture and take away tips about social media. Exporting is an easy way to grow a business.”
Attendees can also put their questions to international trade specialists, the Cannock Chase MP and network with like-minded local businesses. Anyone wanting to sign up for this free event can register at www.export-growth.eventbrite.co.uk.
