This weekend I attended the Anzac Day ceremony at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery on Cannock Chase.
When the New Zealand troops returned home in 1919, local people took it upon themselves to remember ‘The Fallen’ in a ceremony each year.
This annual ceremony has taken place every year since 1918, except during the Second World War and lockdown.
Along with members of the armed forces, the local community and of course Waychman VI, we all paid our respects to the fallen. As ever, this was an incredibly moving ceremony.
Lest we Forget.
