Amanda Milling MP has launched a competition to find Cannock Chase’s best independent businesses.
The annual “Best of Cannock Chase” competition calls on local shoppers to vote for their favourite local independent high street businesses.
The Cannock Chase MP is eager to see local businesses get the support and public recognition they deserve, following what has been another challenging year for high street businesses, with many shops shut earlier in the year given COVID-19.
There are 12 categories up for grabs. This includes the hotly contested overall crown - “Best of Cannock Chase” which will go to the business polling the most votes in any category.
Votes will be open until 5pm on Monday 22nd November. The winners will be announced on Small Business Saturday which takes place on 4th December 2021. Small Business Saturday UK is a not-for-profit campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages the UK to support small businesses.
Amanda Milling MP said: “The past 18 months have been difficult for many of our local independent retailers so the Best of Cannock Chase competition is the perfect opportunity for local shoppers to show their love and appreciation for the brilliant businesses we have on our local high streets.
“There are 12 categories being contested, with the coveted overall winner. It’s so easy to show your support for your favourites - all you have to do is visit www.bestchasebusiness.uk and cast your votes.
“Good luck to every independent high street business! Every year the titles are hotly contested, with just a few votes separating the winners, so get voting and get behind your favourites. I look forward to announcing the results as part of Small Business Saturday at the beginning of December.”
