Amanda Milling, Member of Parliament for Cannock Chase, is asking businesses to attend her export event and hear how they can open up to new overseas customers.
Following a question Amanda raised in Parliament with the Secretary of State for Business, the Cannock Chase MP is hoping that local businesses will make it their news year’s resolution to look at the opportunity exporting brings. As part of this she is encouraging businesses to attend the free event she is hosting with UK Trade and Investment and the Chase Chamber of Commerce.
This event will help businesses find out what practical help is available from UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) team and where the global opportunities are.
Selling in the UK is just the beginning for thousands of British companies now winning orders from across the globe. Businesses that export are more productive, more innovative and less likely to go out of business.
Amanda Milling said; “Many businesses are not aware that they can export their products or services abroad, but the simple message is, if you can do business here you can do business overseas. So please sign up for this free business event.“
The free event takes place on Friday 22 January 2016 between 8.30am and 1pm. The venue is the Premier Suite, Danilo Road, Cannock, Staffordshire, WS11 1BJ.
Amanda Milling added; “This is a great opportunity to find out how to develop an export strategy, discover how UKTI’s services can benefit you, boost your knowledge of language and culture and take away tips about social media. Exporting is a cheap and easy way to grow a business.”
Attendees can also put their questions to international trade specialists, the Cannock Chase MP and network with like-minded local businesses.
