Amanda Milling, Member of Parliament for Cannock Chase, visited the Museum of Cannock Chase to judge the paintings on display by the Heath Hayes Art Society.
The group are exhibiting their artwork in the café at the Museum of Cannock Chase until 19th October and the Cannock Chase MP was invited to choose the painting that would be crowned the ‘best in show’.
Amanda Milling MP said: “There are fourteen wonderful paintings currently on display designed by this extremely talented group. It was incredibly difficult to decide upon a winner, although, in the end I settled on a magnificent pastel called Tiger Eye painted by Loz Robinson.”
The Cannock Chase MP added: “If you want to see the winning piece, or the other fabulous artwork on display, I would encourage you to visit the display at the Museum of Cannock Chase.”
Budding artists are encouraged to get involved with the group. Anyone interested is welcome to attend their sessions that take place in Heath Hayes Library, Hednesford Road, Cannock WS12 3EA every Monday between 7.00pm and 9.00pm.
