Amanda Milling, Member of Parliament for Cannock Chase, has praised the ‘Heart of Hednesford’ community group in Parliament.
The Cannock Chase MP praised the Heart of Hednesford group for their work in the town, including adopting Hednesford Train Station. Their latest efforts to improve the area included planting hayracks on the platforms of Hednesford station, as part of a community project to make the station more attractive and create a welcoming environment in Hednesford.
Amanda Milling said: “I was delighted to join the volunteers from Heart of Hednesford to plant up the new hayracks. They have definitely brought some colour to the station platforms.”
The Cannock Chase MP added, “I would like to congratulate the passion and dedication shown by everyone involved in the group. The improvements across Hednesford are driven by local residents and much of the work, from litter picking to flower planting, is done by volunteers. They deserve a huge amount of praise for the time that they devote to their local community. The size of the task doesn’t daunt them and the latest project to adopt a whole train station shows just how much energy and drive they have to make Hednesford a better place.”
The Rt Hon. Andrea Leadsom MP, Leader of the House of Commons, joined Amanda in congratulating the group in a recent Parliamentary debate.
