The Stroke Association, Cannock Tuesday Group and Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Amanda Milling ran a joint fundraising event at the Aquarius Ballroom in Hednesford.
This event, a ladies pamper evening, was a tremendous success and raised over £1300, making it the Stroke Association’s most successful night of its kind in the West Midlands. The evening featured stalls offering pampering products and services such as hair, beauty, fashion, jewellery and much more.
As well as the stalls, visitors were also treated to a fashion show, in which the survivors of strokes, their carers and volunteers for the charity were modelling a range of clothes from M&Co in Cannock.
Amanda Milling said:
“Meeting and working with the victims of stroke and their families was an inspirational experience and a true reminder of why we hold events such as this. I am thrilled that the pamper evening was such a success and so much money was raised for the Stroke Association and the Cannock Tuesday Group.”
Mrs Pat Stanley, Chairwoman of the Cannock Tuesday Club commented: ‘It was a wonderful evening; I’ve had so many positive comments since about our models and our stalls. I’m already looking forward to many more events in 2015”
The monies raised from the evening will be split between the Stroke Association and the Cannock Tuesday Club.
