Amanda Milling, Member of Parliament for Cannock Chase, visited Cannock Chase High School with a special guest, the Leader of the House of Commons, the Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP.
MP Amanda Milling brought her special guest to the school where they were both questioned by students studying the UK's political system. They also met with the student council and were quizzed on a range of issues. Afterwards Amanda Milling and Chris Grayling sat down with the school's leadership team and heard about the team's plans for the school.
Amanda Milling said: “I was very impressed by what I saw and the school children were very forthcoming and asked lots of great questions. It was great to engage with the students about the topical issues of the day and help them get a better understanding of our political system. I hope they found it as useful as we did. It was also very encouraging to hear from the leadership team at the school. It was clear to see how passionately they care about their students education and I am looking forward to returning to the school next year."
